According to the festival organizers on the 23rd, the 'Peaceful News' performance scheduled at Gangneung Art Center on the same day and the 'Winter Traveler' performances scheduled for the 24th and 25th at the Pyeongchang Alpensia Concert Hall were all canceled. Accordingly, the Daegwallyeong Winter Music Festival, which opened on the 9th, concluded with 'Peaceful News' held in Goseong on the 22nd. Originally, the festival was planned to run until the 25th.
The festival organizers, who are processing refunds, explained, "Due to confirmed COVID-19 cases occurring in Samcheok, Sokcho, Chuncheon, and other areas within the province, we have inevitably decided to cancel the remaining performances." They added, "We will meet the audience with better performances at the 17th Pyeongchang Daegwallyeong Music Festival to be held in the summer."
