Lee Young-ae·Kim Go-eun... Actors Continue Donations for COVID-19 Prevention
[Asia Economy Reporter Shinwon Yoon] Amid the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), donations from actors such as Lee Young-ae and Kim Go-eun continue.
On the 21st, the international relief and development NGO Good Neighbors announced, "Actor Kim Go-eun donated 100 million KRW (approximately 40,000 masks) to low-income families struggling to purchase COVID-19 prevention supplies."
Kim Go-eun decided to donate after hearing that low-income families were having difficulty purchasing supplies to prevent COVID-19. The donated funds will be used through Good Neighbors' nationwide offices to provide masks to children, the elderly with weakened immunity, and low-income families.
Through her agency, Kim Go-eun said, "I decided to donate hoping to prevent the domestic spread of COVID-19 and avoid additional infections," adding, "I hope this can help even a little those who are struggling to buy masks due to financial reasons."
Actor Lee Young-ae also donated 50 million KRW to the Daegu Community Chest of Korea for the citizens of Daegu on the same day.

Lee Young-ae said through the Daegu Community Chest of Korea, "I donated because the economy in Daegu has been shrinking due to COVID-19, making life more difficult for those already struggling," and added, "My whole family hopes that the citizens of Daegu can overcome the hardships they are facing."
