Shincheonji Established 'Church' in Wuhan, China Last Year... KDCA "Confirming Exchanges"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Shin-won] As the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) related to the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji) Daegu Church is rapidly increasing, it has been revealed that last year Shincheonji established a church in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, the initial outbreak location of COVID-19.
On the 21st, the Shincheonji history introduced on the Shincheonji website under 'The City of Truth, Beautiful Shincheonji' stated, "In just 10 months in 2019, 103,764 graduates, God's power manifested. Established Shincheonji overseas churches in Washington DC, Uganda, Mongolia in China, Wuhan Church in China, and the UK Church." Wuhan is represented here using its Sino-Korean pronunciation, 'Muhan'.
This has raised suspicions about whether it is related to the Shincheonji COVID-19 cluster infection incident.
Jung Eun-kyung, Director of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a regular briefing that "We are continuing to investigate whether there was any exchange with Hubei Province, which is classified as the outbreak area of the COVID-19 infection source."
