Bang Yong-cheol, CEO of Ssangbangwool, Appointed as Co-Chairman of the Minhwahyeop
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Ssangbangwool announced on the 21st that CEO Bang Yong-cheol has been appointed as co-chairman of the Incorporated Association for National Reconciliation and Cooperation (hereinafter Minhwahyeop).
Minhwahyeop held the 4th Chairpersons' Meeting of the 11th term on the morning of the same day at the Minhwahyeop conference room in Mapo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and appointed CEO Bang as co-chairman.
Founded in 1998, Minhwahyeop is a permanent nationwide unification movement council formed by political parties, religious groups, and civil society organizations for national reconciliation and preparation for unification.
Currently, Minhwahyeop has over 200 member organizations including political parties, companies, and civic groups representing various sectors of society, and has 10 overseas councils in the United States, China, and Australia. CEO Bang introduced, "Minhwahyeop is the fundamental driving force not only for peace on the Korean Peninsula but also for improving and developing inter-Korean relations," adding, "As Minhwahyeop's role in various fields of private exchange has grown, I will carry out my given duties with a sense of responsibility."

Meanwhile, Ssangbangwool participated as a sponsor in the Asia-Pacific International Conference for Peace and Prosperity consecutively in 2018 and 2019, and carried out the 100th anniversary commemorative project of the March 1st Movement.
