Isolation Personnel Approximately 80 People
An epidemiological investigation of a woman in her 40s who visited Busan Haeundae Paik Hospital on the 19th regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was conducted, leading to the closure of the emergency room.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] On the 19th, the emergency room of Haeundae Paik Hospital in Busan was closed as an epidemiological investigation of a woman in her 40s, Ms. A, who visited the hospital, was underway due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Ms. A visited the hospital emergency room at around 11:50 a.m. that day. She complained of a persistent cough and headache, and after an X-ray examination showed symptoms of viral pneumonia, she was placed in isolation. It was reported that Ms. A did not have a history of overseas travel and therefore did not go through the screening clinic.
The hospital reportedly closed the emergency room at around 1:40 p.m. and requested a COVID-19 epidemiological investigation. The epidemiological investigation of Ms. A's specimen is currently being conducted at the Busan Institute of Health and Environment.
The number of people isolated in the emergency room was confirmed to be around 80, including 33 patients and 38 medical staff.
Ms. A is under personal isolation, and the remaining individuals are reported to be isolated in the ward.

A hospital official stated, "We took preemptive measures to prevent any possible accidents," and added, "The results of Ms. A's COVID-19 epidemiological investigation are expected to be released between 8 and 9 p.m."
