On the 17th, the 31st Steering Committee Meeting of the Korea Healthy Cities Association was held... Approval of the 2019 Settlement (Draft), 2020 Major Business Plans and Budget (Draft)... Temporary General Meeting Scheduled for March Postponed Due to COVID-19 Emergency
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jongno-gu, the chair city of the Korea Healthy Cities Partnership (KHCP) (Mayor Kim Young-jong), held the "31st KHCP Steering Committee Meeting" at 3 p.m. on the 17th in the Planning Situation Room of the district office.
This Steering Committee meeting was the first official meeting of the Korea Healthy Cities Partnership this year and was conducted via video conference, with participation from the heads of 10 cities including Nonsan-si, Chungnam Province, and one associate member organization.
At the 31st Steering Committee meeting, key agenda items such as ▲approval of the 2019 revenue and expenditure settlement (draft) ▲resolution of the 2020 major business plan and 2020 revenue and expenditure budget (draft) were deliberated.
Additionally, the partnership decided to postpone the scheduled extraordinary general meeting in March to ensure residents' health and safety. To prevent disruptions in this year’s project implementation due to the postponement, it was agreed to first obtain written consent from member cities and approve key agenda items accordingly.
Mayor Kim Young-jong stated, “This year, we will strive to conduct more substantial and relatable projects, fostering a partnership that practices action through mutual understanding and communication among member cities. As the chair city, we will take the lead in creating a sustainable healthy city.”
The Korea Healthy Cities Partnership was established in 2006 to share public policies and information among local governments for improving residents' quality of life, achieving high levels of health, and realizing health equity, as well as to promote sustainable urban development.
