Ulsan City Injects Vitality into Local Economy Weakened by COVID-19
3% Additional Discount on Ulsan Pay Payments Until the End of April
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Ulsan City is injecting vitality into the local economy, which has been weakened by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Ulsan City announced on the 17th that it will promote a special discount event for Ulsan Pay until the end of April.
This event was prepared to revitalize the local economy, which has been depressed due to COVID-19. During this period, when payment is made with Ulsan Pay, 3% of the amount will be accumulated as points and recharged to Ulsan Pay in May.
Consumers can receive a 5% advance discount when purchasing Ulsan Pay and an additional 3% discount at the time of payment, allowing a total discount benefit of 8% through the use of Ulsan Pay. In particular, year-end income deduction of 30%, an essential item for office workers, is an added bonus.
During the event period, a prize draw (Ulsan Pay 50,000 KRW) will also be held for the 150,000th, 200,000th, 250,000th, 300,000th, and 350,000th payers.
Ulsan Pay can be paid by QR code at affiliated stores, and at non-affiliated stores, payment can be made with the Ulsan Pay check card.
When using the card, it must be used within the permitted business sectors of Ulsan Pay (excluding department stores, large marts, gas stations, entertainment bars, etc.), and since card payment charges at affiliated stores are at the level of check card fees, QR payment is recommended at affiliated stores.
Lee Chaegwon, Head of the Small and Medium Venture Business Division of Ulsan City, said, “Ulsan Pay is an electronic gift certificate that benefits both affiliated stores and consumers and can promote a virtuous cycle of the entire local economy,” adding, “We ask for the active interest and cooperation of citizens so that it can help revitalize the market economy weakened by COVID-19.”
