366 First-Phase Wuhan Returnees Staying in Asan and Jincheon to Be Discharged Today (Update)

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Among the 1st and 2nd groups of Korean nationals who returned from Wuhan, China, the origin of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and were admitted to Asan and Jincheon, 366 people were discharged on the 15th.
The first group of 366 Wuhan returnees (193 in Asan, 173 in Jincheon), who were admitted to the temporary living facilities at the Chungnam Asan Police Human Resources Development Institute and the Chungbuk Jincheon National Civil Service Human Resources Development Institute, respectively, boarded buses prepared by the government joint support team around 10 a.m. that day and left the temporary living facilities. They moved to five regions: Seoul, Daegu-Yeongnam, Chungbuk-Daejeon-Honam, Gyeonggi, and Chungnam, and headed to their respective homes or places of residence in Korea.
A total of 702 Wuhan returnees (self-admitted) arrived on the 1st and 2nd temporary flights (charter flights). Among them, except for two who were confirmed positive during admission, 700 people were discharged in two groups on the 15th and 16th. The 2nd group of returnees discharged tomorrow totals 334 people. This includes one father who voluntarily admitted himself in Korea to take care of two children who entered without guardians.
All 700 returnees and their families who were discharged received diagnostic test results confirming all were negative. After their discharge, the temporary living facilities will be disinfected, and all waste within the facilities will be incinerated as medical waste. Local governments will also provide related living information such as job opportunities.
