Track derailment and recovery of maintenance equipment at Guro Station... Delays in Gyeongin and Gyeongbu Line subway operations
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Track maintenance equipment at Guro Station derailed, causing delays in the operation of the Gyeongin and Gyeongbu Line trains.
According to Korea Railroad (Korail) on the 14th, the track maintenance equipment derailed at Guro Station around 2:40 a.m.
Korail completed recovery around 7 a.m. after about 4 hours and 20 minutes and has currently resumed train operations.
However, Korail explained that due to the track obstruction, the Gyeongin Line and Gyeongbu Line trains are currently experiencing cascading delays.
Korea Railroad is currently investigating the cause of the accident.
