Korean Party Files Criminal Complaint Against 'Kim Yong-min Live'... "Predicting Seat Numbers Without Basis"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Recently, following former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon's side filing a complaint against the YouTube broadcast 'Shin-ui Hansu' for illegal opinion polling, the Liberty Korea Party has now decided to file a complaint against KBS 1 Radio's 'Kim Yong-min Live.'
On the 13th, the Liberty Korea Party's Media Special Committee announced through a press release, "Recently, reports that undermine fair elections have frequently occurred, especially on public broadcasting," and stated that they would file complaints against the host, production team, and guests of 'Kim Yong-min Live.'
The committee said, "'Kim Yong-min Live,' in the '2020 Seat War' segment, on December 20 last year and January 10 this year, featured hosts and guests who clearly showed support for the current government and predicted the number of seats for ruling and opposition parties based on their subjective views without evidence," adding, "We have decided to strongly restrain this unfair broadcast that delivers distorted facts to voters to influence the election and to sound an alarm against public broadcasting's election interference by filing a complaint with the prosecution."
