Gochang-gun's Swift Response to Secure National Budget for 2021
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk (Governor Yu Gi-sang) has embarked on full-scale efforts to secure the national budget for 2021.
On the 10th, Governor Yu Gi-sang visited the Ministry of Economy and Finance and central government departments to express gratitude for securing this year's national budget of 132.5 billion KRW and explained the justification for projects targeted for next year's budget allocation.
Currently, each ministry is establishing mid-term financial plans, and with the Ministry of Economy and Finance's review imminent, it is crucial to have the targeted projects reflected in the mid-term plans.
Accordingly, Governor Yu met with Han Hoon, Economic Budget Review Officer at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and visited key departments to meet with heads and officers to request cooperation.
He then visited the relevant ministries for each project, explaining the necessity and justification of projects such as the Gochang Wolsan-ri Onsu-seon Road Expansion Project (3.6 billion KRW), Traditional Market Pedestrian Bridge Construction Project (700 million KRW), Gosu Future Industry (Agricultural-Industrial) Complex Disaster Risk Facility Maintenance Project (1.8 billion KRW), and Gangnam District Drainage Improvement Project (9 billion KRW).
The county identified 70 projects worth 710.1 billion KRW in two rounds by the end of last year to secure the 2021 national budget.
Additional projects will be identified this month, and from March, active visits to ministries will begin to intensify efforts to secure the national budget.
