Shin Jeong-hoon Preliminary Candidate Announces Women's Policy Promises for "Comfort to Women"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Shin Jeong-hoon, a preliminary candidate for the Democratic Party of Korea in Naju·Hwasun, Jeonnam, announced women's pledges such as employment support and expansion of childcare facilities on the 11th under the slogan "Comfort for Women."
Candidate Shin Jeong-hoon said, "To support the reemployment of women whose careers have been interrupted due to pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare, we will expand specialized reemployment training," and promised, "After completing professional vocational training, we will facilitate job interviews smoothly and provide full support for startup, marketing, and technology development for women entrepreneurs."
In particular, he emphasized that he would promote the introduction of a pilot program for the payment of childcare allowances to responsible grandmothers.
The grandmother childcare allowance system is a policy that pays 200,000 KRW per month when a healthy grandmother under the age of 70 provides responsible childcare for 8 hours or more for children aged 0 to 2.
He plans to establish a comprehensive childcare support center to provide comprehensive childcare support services such as support for local daycare centers (childcare consulting, operational support), home childcare support (parent counseling, childcare-related education, temporary childcare support, etc.), and education to prevent infant and child abuse.
