Gangnam-gu Expert Consultation Office Resident Satisfaction 90.9%
Free Consultations with Experts in Civil Law, Tax, and Labor Fields... Over 1,100 Users in 2019 Alone
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jung Soon-gyun) operates a free "Expert Consultation Room," which was used by over 1,100 residents in 2019, achieving a satisfaction rate of 90.9%.
Since its launch in 2008, the Gangnam-gu Expert Consultation Room has received great responses from residents, with the number of applications steadily increasing. Last year, usage rose by 14.1% compared to 2018.
Consultations cover ▲ daily legal matters (civil, criminal, family) ▲ tax issues (capital gains tax, inheritance, gift, acquisition) ▲ labor matters (wage arrears, unfair dismissal, industrial accidents). Forty-six experts including lawyers, judicial scriveners, tax accountants, and labor consultants provide free consultations for residents once a month, limited to 30 minutes per person. Re-consultations on the same issue are prohibited.
Legal consultations are held on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 2 PM to 4 PM, tax consultations on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 12 PM, and labor consultations on Thursdays from 10 AM to 12 PM, each for two hours at the consultation room located in the District Office’s second annex.
