Jin Joong-kwon: "The force advocating liberalism has become far-right... Their thoughts seem to have changed with the regime change"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Gayeon] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized supporters of the Moon Jae-in administration, calling it "an absurd situation where a force claiming liberalism is becoming far-right."
On the 10th, Jin wrote on his Facebook, saying, "This bizarre situation stems from a poverty of philosophy."
He continued, "Even if the leader is a liberal, those who support him may not know what liberalism is at all," adding, "There is no need to use your brain to understand that person's philosophy just to follow someone. It's enough that they are 'on our side.'"
Jin argued, "If false information is punished by law, then Yoo Si-min of 'Alileo,' Kim Eo-jun of 'News Factory,' Han Hak-soo of 'PD Notebook,' Joo Jin-woo of 'Straight,' the producer of 'Black House,' and other reporters from fringe media like 'OhmyNews' should be handcuffed first."
He said, "During the Lee Myung-bak administration, Minerva was punished for spreading false information even though his predictions were more accurate than the regime's economic brain," adding, "I recall that the MB prosecution at that time applied a provision of the Telecommunications Business Act, which was created decades ago and had become obsolete, by interpreting it strangely to punish him."
