Genesis BBQ Heliosity Branch Closed for a Day... Sequential Disinfection Underway at All Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Genesis BBQ announced on the 10th that it will conduct sequential disinfection of all its stores for the first time in the industry to protect customers' health and safety from the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).
The recently opened Helios City branch, which is regarded as a future franchise model, was closed on this day, and professional disinfection companies and store staff carried out sterilization and disinfection. In addition, disinfection work will be carried out sequentially at all directly operated BBQ stores nationwide, and disinfection of family franchise stores will be conducted promptly through consultation with the representatives of the Donghaeng Committee, a consultative body between the family franchises and headquarters.
Along with this, BBQ has prepared a response manual to ensure customer safety in light of the recent spread of the novel coronavirus and notified family franchises through communication channels.
According to the manual, all employees involved in stores and delivery at BBQ are required to wear masks, prioritizing hygiene and customer safety. Hand sanitizers are placed throughout the kitchen and store, and directly operated stores even have thermometers at the entrance. Additionally, the use of hand sanitizer is mandatory whenever starting new cooking tasks or moving to different locations.
Furthermore, as delivery orders have significantly increased due to this situation, delivery staff are required to wear masks at all times, carry hand sanitizer, and sanitize their hands again immediately before handing over products to alleviate customer concerns.
Even employees who are not suspected of having the novel coronavirus but show signs of health abnormalities will be given leave until they recover, aiming to ease customer anxiety and prioritize customer safety.
