Ssangyong Motor Accelerates Localized Marketing to Strengthen European Exports
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SsangYong Motor announced on the 10th that it will strengthen localized marketing activities to expand exports in major European markets such as Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
SsangYong participated in the 2020 Brussels Motor Show held in Brussels, Belgium, from the 10th to the 19th of last month, exhibiting 14 vehicles including the Tivoli, Korando, G4 Rexton (local name Rexton), and Rexton Sports (local name Musso).
From the 16th to the 19th, SsangYong also took part in the 2020 Vienna Auto Show held in Vienna, Austria, where it displayed vehicles and invited dealers within Austria to discuss various measures to achieve this year's sales targets.
In particular, SsangYong attracted significant attention from participants by showcasing the Korando CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) model at the Brussels Motor Show. The Korando CNG is an eco-friendly bi-fuel vehicle that uses both CNG and gasoline as fuel, applied to the Korando gasoline (1.5ℓ turbo) model, with sales expected to begin in the first quarter.
Additionally, SsangYong's UK dealership has been recognized for product quality and value, as the Rexton Sports (local name Musso) was selected as the '2020 Pickup of the Year' by the UK four-wheel-drive specialist magazine 4X4 last month, and this month was also named 'Best Pickup (under ?28,000)' in the 2020 Car of the Year awards announced by the automotive magazine What Car.
Furthermore, the German dealership is extending its sponsorship with the Bundesliga football team Bayer Leverkusen and sponsoring programs on the Sport1 channel, while Italy plans to actively engage in marketing activities starting with a New Year TV advertising campaign.
