Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education Appoints 'Bae Min' as Grade 3 Auditor
Former Senior Auditor at the Public Institution Audit Bureau
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Bae, the senior auditor of the Public Institution Audit Bureau at the Board of Audit and Inspection, has been finally selected as the auditor, an open position equivalent to grade 3, at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education.
According to the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education on the 6th, the open position auditor was publicly recruited targeting experts both inside and outside the public service, and 12 experts from national institutions, local governments, and military organizations applied.
The Office of Education accepted applications for five days from the 6th to the 10th of last month, conducted document screening by the selection examination committee, and announced the successful candidates of the document screening on the 30th of the same month.
Afterward, through an interview and deliberation by the personnel committee, the new auditor Bae was finally selected.
Auditor Bae joined the Board of Audit and Inspection in 1998 as a grade 7 employee.
He has served in the Administrative Security Audit Bureau in 2007, as deputy auditor in the Inspection Office in 2009, as senior auditor in the Audit Request Investigation Bureau in 2016, and as senior auditor in the Public Audit Operation Group’s Operation Audit Division in 2017.
The personnel committee of the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education is known to have evaluated him as a suitable candidate possessing professional skills as an auditor, change management ability, and leadership.
Auditor Bae stated, “I will prioritize strengthening a clean organizational culture and strive to prevent corruption and improve integrity,” adding, “My goal is to raise the audit capabilities of the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education to the next level by incorporating the latest audit techniques from the Board of Audit and Inspection.”
He continued, “I will actively utilize my experience working at the Board of Audit and Inspection to conduct audits based on principles.”

Meanwhile, Auditor Bae is scheduled to be appointed on the 1st of next month after going through administrative procedures such as background checks. The appointment period is two years, during which he will perform duties including ▲establishing and operating anti-corruption and integrity policy plans ▲investigating and handling audits, petitions, misconduct, and complaints ▲public service discipline tasks ▲receiving, supporting, and processing audit results of various institutions.
