Gochang-gun Launches Phase 1 Public Work Project in Full Swing
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that the '2020 First Phase Public Work Project,' designed to support the livelihoods of low-income vulnerable groups and improve their quality of life, has officially begun.
The Gochang-gun public work project, which will run for three months until the end of April, involves 60 residents participating in a total of 32 projects including administrative data digitization, civil service assistance, and environmental cleanup.
Previously, a total of 107 people applied for the project, and workers were selected in order of highest total score considering household income, property standards, and disability status.
For those who were not selected in the first phase, Gochang-gun plans to make multifaceted efforts to help residents seeking employment by providing job registration and customized one-on-one employment counseling through the Visiting Job Support Center and Local JOB Center.

A Gochang-gun official said, "We have launched the public work project to provide some help to residents looking for jobs," and added, "We will continue to actively strive to revitalize the local economy by discovering various jobs."
