Hua Chunying, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, mentioned the names of 21 countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Thailand one by one during a regular briefing held via online chat on the 5th, stating that China received quarantine supplies from them, and said, "A friend in need is a friend indeed. I want to thank all these countries."
Spokesperson Hua named South Korea first among the 21 countries. She also conveyed, "Facing the sudden outbreak of the virus, many national leaders and figures from various sectors, including President Moon Jae-in of South Korea and Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia, said that China's difficulties are their own difficulties." She added, "I want to say that China's victory is your victory and the world's victory."
