Asiana Introduces 11th A350 Aircraft... Strengthening Position as Long-Haul Main Aircraft
"Continuous Promotion of Long-Distance Route Development"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Asiana Airlines announced on the 5th that it introduced its 11th A350-900 aircraft on the 4th. The A350 is solidifying its position as Asiana Airlines' main long-haul aircraft.
Previously, Asiana Airlines selected the A350 as its next-generation long-haul passenger aircraft in 2017 and has been continuously introducing it. This year, including the 11th aircraft, a total of three additional units are scheduled to be delivered.
According to Asiana Airlines, the A350 is currently operating on routes to the Americas (New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle), Europe (London, Paris, Lisbon), and some medium-haul routes (Singapore, Jakarta, Tokyo).

Asiana Airlines plans to continue expanding its long-haul routes in line with the introduction of new aircraft. Following the launch of charter flights to Cairo, Egypt; Melbourne, Australia; and Lisbon, Portugal last year, the New York route is now operated twice daily.
