Sejong City, Recruiting Institutions and Youth for Regional-Led Youth Job Project
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City is starting to recruit institutions and youth to participate in the ‘Community-Led Youth Job Project.’
According to the city on the 5th, this project is implemented to support the economic activities of local youth under the age of 39 and help them settle in the region by discovering and providing jobs.
The recruitment projects are divided into ▲Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Youth Job Support Project ▲Social Welfare Youth Job Support Project ▲Water Rescue Youth Job Support Project, aiming to create 145 youth jobs this year.
The SME Youth Job Support Project focuses on creating jobs by connecting 20 unemployed youth with excellent local SMEs and supporting SMEs facing difficulties such as labor shortages with personnel expenses.
The Social Welfare Youth Job Project aims to support the hiring of 15 youth in social welfare institutions and facilities, creating youth jobs and revitalizing social welfare institutions.
The SME and Social Welfare Youth Job Projects will recruit participating companies (institutions) by the 20th, then recruit youth starting next month, enabling actual matching between participating companies and youth in April.
Additionally, the Water Rescue Youth Job Project will hire unemployed youth for three months (May to July), during which they will obtain qualifications as water safety personnel and survival swimming instructors, then be linked to private employment. Recruitment of participating youth (target of 11 hires) will begin in April.
Furthermore, the city plans to replenish personnel through occasional recruitment announcements when participants drop out from existing projects such as ▲Blueprint Project ▲Startup Youth Job Support Project ▲Culture-Based Youth Activity Support Project.
