LGU+ Produces 'WHy?' 3D VR Content with 78 Million Copies Sold
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus announced on the 5th that it will provide the elementary school learning comic 'Why? (Wae)' as 3D virtual reality (VR) content in collaboration with the children's book publishing company Yerimdang.
Why is a book that interestingly presents knowledge in various fields such as science, mathematics, Korean history, and world history from the perspective of children. Since its publication in July 2001, more than 78 million copies have been sold domestically.
Based on the original works, LG Uplus produced six volumes as immersive content by adding 3D animation and sound effects, covering endangered animals and plants, virtual reality and augmented reality, civil engineering and architecture, cameras, parasites, beneficial insects, and pests. LG Uplus 5G customers can access the 'U+VR' application from the 6th and use it for free in the education category.
