View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Emart and Traders announced on the 4th that they will make every effort to secure mask supplies to provide customers with stable mask supply amid unstable mask supply due to the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).
Emart and Traders buyers recently visited mask partner companies to hold urgent consultations on mask production and sales volumes, and decided to cooperate closely by establishing a 'hotline' with partner companies.
Also, while masks used to be delivered to stores two days after ordering from partner companies, the delivery system has been improved so that major companies can deliver masks to stores the day after ordering.
Limit sales per person will also be fully implemented. Considering the increasing number of customers purchasing masks in bulk at once, Emart limits sales to 30 masks per person per store, and Traders limits sales to 1 box (20 to 100 masks) per person per store to allow as many customers as possible to purchase masks.
The total number of masks sold at Emart (Traders) from the 27th of last month to the 2nd was about 3.7 million units (individual pieces), averaging about 530,000 units per day, which is about 30 times higher than the average daily sales in January and February of the previous year.
