Led by coach Colin Bell, the South Korean women's soccer team won decisively 7-0 against Myanmar in the first match of Group A in the Tokyo Olympics women's soccer Asian final qualifiers held on the 3rd at Jeju World Cup Stadium.
South Korea will face Vietnam in the second Group A match at the same venue on the 9th. If they win against Vietnam as well, they will play a playoff against the second-place team from Group B (Australia, Taiwan, Thailand, China) for a spot in the Olympic finals as the top team in Group A.
In today's match, South Korea showed overwhelming performance from the first half.
In the 4th minute of the first half, Ji So-yeon scored the opening goal by converting a penalty kick created by Kang Chae-rim into the left corner of the goal.
In the 36th minute of the first half, Shim Seo-yeon delivered a cross from the left side of the field, which Choi Yu-ri gently headed down, and Lee So-dam did not miss the chance, scoring an additional goal with a right-footed chip shot.
In the 6th minute of the second half, Ji So-yeon received a short pass from Park Ye-eun, carried the ball into the penalty box, and scored a multi-goal with a right-footed shot.
One minute later, Park Ye-eun had a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper following a pass from Ji So-yeon and scored the fourth goal with a right-footed non-stop shot.

In the 35th minute of the second half, during another corner kick, Yeo Min-ji headed a cross from Lee So-dam to extend the lead to 6-0.
In the 43rd minute of the second half, Yeo Min-ji received a cross from Kim Hye-ri on the right side of the field and scored while falling, hitting Myanmar's net.
Ji So-yeon, Park Ye-eun, and Yeo Min-ji each recorded multi-goals.
