"CU·Yogiyo Cashback"... K-Bank Friends Check Card Promotion Season 6
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] Korea Kakao Bank (KakaoBank) announced on the 3rd that it will launch KakaoBank Friends Check Card Cashback Promotion Season 6, which offers up to 50,000 KRW cashback benefits every month.
In Season 6, reflecting the consumption patterns and preferences of KakaoBank check card users, convenience stores and delivery apps with high usage frequency have been added to the cashback benefit targets. When paying 10,000 KRW or more at CU convenience stores, you can receive 1,000 KRW cashback, and when paying 20,000 KRW or more on the delivery app Yogiyo, you can receive 2,000 KRW cashback.
Considering the new semester and job hunting season, a new cashback benefit of 4,000 KRW is added for payments of 40,000 KRW or more for the TOEIC exam using the KakaoBank check card.
Continuing from the last season, if the academy fee is 200,000 KRW or more, you can get 10,000 KRW back. Academy fees include study materials, driving schools, and reading rooms. Cashback for movies and communication fees, which have been highly popular among customers, will also continue this season. As of the end of December last year, 10.66 million KakaoBank check cards have been issued.
The cashback promotion targets customers with a previous month’s usage of 300,000 KRW or more. Usage amounts that received cashback benefits are also included in the previous month’s usage, and cashback benefits are provided once per month for each target category. Separately from the cashback promotion, a basic cashback of 0.2% (an additional 0.2% on weekends and holidays) is provided regardless of the previous month’s usage.
Cashback is deposited into the KakaoBank deposit and withdrawal account linked to the KakaoBank check card on the 10th of the following month, and more detailed cashback promotion targets can be checked on the KakaoBank mobile application.

Meanwhile, KakaoBank is conducting an event from January to the end of this month, where customers who have made overseas payments totaling 200,000 KRW or more using the KakaoBank check card will be entered into a draw to win a Paris travel package or coffee coupons.
