The women expressed their support through a reading titled “Confident Women, For a New Mokpo, We Support Candidate Kim Won-i,” read by working mom Jang Jin-young (43), stating, “As daughters, mothers, wives of Mokpo, and proud citizens of Mokpo, we support Candidate Kim Won-i who is striving to create a new Mokpo.”

Furthermore, they said, “We actively support Candidate Kim Won-i so that the Moon Jae-in administration and the Democratic Party of Korea can open an era of state-responsible education,” adding, “We will work together to ensure that the 5,000 Mokpo-type jobs and 20,000 Jeonnam-type jobs created by Candidate Kim Won-i give hope to the wives of Mokpo.”
The women explained, “The reason your daughters, your mothers, and your wives support Candidate Kim Won-i is clear,” stating, “Because he is the one and only person who promises a better tomorrow and a new Mokpo for all of us.”
Candidate Kim Won-i responded, “I am grateful for the support and encouragement from women, who make up half of the world and half of Mokpo’s citizens,” and said, “I will develop more practical policies regarding childcare, education, and reemployment and entrepreneurship activities for women whose careers have been interrupted.”
