Previously, fees at unmanned civil service issuance machines could only be paid in cash, requiring users to prepare cash in advance, but from February, payments can be made not only in cash but also by credit card, debit card, and mobile payment (Samsung Pay).
The district expects that with more diverse payment methods, residents will be able to use the unmanned civil service issuance machines more conveniently, and resident satisfaction will also increase.
There are a total of 19 unmanned civil service issuance machines installed in Jongno-gu, including at the district office's comprehensive civil service office, community centers, subway stations, and hospitals.
In particular, last October, an unmanned civil service issuance machine was installed at the Government Joint Civil Service Center (60 Sajik-ro 8-gil, Jongno-gu) to improve convenience for visitors to the center, nearby residents, and office workers.
Through the unmanned civil service issuance machines, a total of 89 types of civil documents can be issued, including ▲resident registration certificates and abstracts ▲building registers ▲taxation certificates by item, and detailed locations and usage information of the machines can be found on the Jongno-gu Office website (www.jongno.go.kr).
Additionally, since 2012, the district has operated a 'Civil Service Office Outside Working Hours' once a week for office workers, self-employed individuals, and students who find it difficult to visit the district office during working hours, extending the comprehensive civil service office and passport civil service office hours until 8 p.m. every Tuesday.
The services available include ▲issuance of certificates such as resident registration certificates and abstracts, family relation registers ▲passport application, issuance, and lost passport processing ▲issuance of entry and exit certificates, among others.
