View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jihee Kim] Samsung C&T promoted 3 vice presidents, 6 executive directors, and 14 managing directors in its regular executive appointments for 2020 on the 30th.
Regarding this personnel move, a Samsung C&T official stated, "We conducted the appointments by comprehensively considering expertise, growth potential, and diversity among the executives," adding, "In particular, we promoted individuals with the capabilities and leadership to drive future growth to senior executive positions, thereby strengthening the pool of CEO candidates."
In the Trading Division, Kim Yong-su, Head of the Management Support Team, and Park Ho-chan, Head of the Steel Business Division, were promoted to vice presidents. Kim Yong-su, a graduate of Seogang University’s Department of Business Administration, previously served as Planning Team Leader and Head of Southeast Asia & Oceania at Samsung C&T’s Trading Division. Park Ho-chan, a graduate of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies’ Department of Chinese Language and Literature and holder of a master's degree in economics from Yonsei University, has experience as Steel Team 2 Leader and Head of China operations within the Trading Division.
In the Resort Division, Managing Director Kwak Sung-hoon was included in the promotion list.
