European Parliament Ratifies UK EU Withdrawal Agreement

According to AP News and others, the European Parliament passed the agreement with 621 votes in favor and 49 against. With the European Parliament's ratification, the final procedure of Brexit (the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union) is completed, and the UK will leave the EU as scheduled at 11 p.m. on the 31st. This comes 3 years and 7 months after the Brexit referendum in June 2016.
Earlier, the UK Parliament also passed the EU withdrawal agreement bill, and Queen Elizabeth II gave her royal assent.
