Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation Achieves Grade 1 in Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation for 270 Public Institutions Nationwide by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Kim Kyung-ho) achieved the highest grade (Grade 1), rising two levels from the previous year, in the Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in 2019.
The Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, conducted on 270 public institutions, is a system designed to evaluate and support anti-corruption efforts autonomously pursued by public institutions at all levels to enhance the integrity level in the public sector.
This evaluation was divided into seven tasks assessing the implementation performance of anti-corruption policies promoted from November 2018 to October of the previous year: anti-corruption plan establishment, expansion of participation in integrity policies, establishment of anti-corruption systems, efforts to eliminate corruption risks, operation of anti-corruption systems, anti-corruption policy outcomes, and efforts to spread anti-corruption policies.
Last year, the Corporation signed the “Seoul Wholesale Market Integrity Practice Agreement” with the Garak Market distribution groups and implemented field-centered integrity policies that both parties could empathize with.
To improve the institution’s integrity level, the Corporation established an anti-corruption promotion plan by collecting opinions from distributors, integrity citizen auditors, and internal staff, receiving high evaluations across all assessment areas.
In particular, it actively accepted and reflected recommendations and audit requests presented by integrity citizen auditors and conducted its own integrity measurement to diagnose the level of integrity, demonstrating various efforts.
Additionally, all executives and employees strengthened their commitment to integrity through an integrity practice resolution rally and operated an integrity mileage system and integrity supporters to establish voluntary compliance with integrity.
Furthermore, together with the Seoul City and Songpa-gu Integrity Cluster (Integrity Council) institutions, the Corporation held an event to spread integrity culture targeting visitors of the Garak Mall Festival and conducted an integrity campaign promoting corruption reporting methods and protection systems to distributors, thereby spreading the culture of integrity both inside and outside the Corporation through various promotional activities.
