China Issues Advisory for Citizens to Refrain from Overseas Travel
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Donghyun] China has advised its citizens to refrain from overseas travel to prevent the international spread of the novel coronavirus infection (Wuhan pneumonia).
On the 28th (local time), according to China News Network, the National Immigration Administration stated, "Mainland residents planning to depart in the near future are advised to postpone their travel unless there are special circumstances."
The Immigration Administration urged those who must travel abroad due to unavoidable reasons to familiarize themselves in advance with the current entry regulations of their destination country to avoid being denied entry. Additionally, it was reported that if symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing are detected during departure procedures, the person will not be allowed to leave and will be immediately transferred to a hospital.
