At this event, Candidate Yang stated, "The right person for the success of the Moon Jae-in administration, the development of Gwangju's economy, and political innovation is Yang Hyangja."
She defined this Gwangju Seo-gu Eul general election as a decisive election for ▲the success of the Moon Jae-in administration ▲the development of Gwangju's economy ▲and the innovation of Korean politics.
She emphasized, "Gwangju was the main force behind the Moon Jae-in administration," and added, "Yang Hyangja refused to run as a proportional representative or in the metropolitan area in the last general election and fought in Gwangju, and during the presidential election, she took the lead as the standing director of the Gwangju election campaign headquarters."
She continued, "The candidate with the expertise and alternatives to solve the underdeveloped economy is Yang Hyangja," and asserted, "If given the opportunity this time, I will definitely bring about significant changes to Gwangju's economy."
She also stated, "Politics that divides people into 'my side' and 'your side,' opposes unconditionally, and obstructs, regionalism that exploits citizens' sense of victimization, and politics that only seek citizens' help when in need rather than being helpful must no longer exist," emphasizing, "We need politicians who step forward to help the citizens."
