Jangseong-gun Strengthens Surveillance and Response System for Wuhan Pneumonia
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 27th that it is operating a quarantine situation room to strengthen the surveillance and response system against the novel coronavirus infection (hereinafter referred to as Wuhan pneumonia) that originated in the Wuhan region of China.
This measure follows the elevation of the infectious disease crisis alert level due to confirmed cases of Wuhan pneumonia occurring domestically.
The county is operating the quarantine situation room and maintaining a 24-hour emergency contact system.
Additionally, when patients with fever and respiratory symptoms visit local hospitals and clinics, they are required to check for travel history to Wuhan City, China, through health insurance recipient inquiry and other means. Patients suspected of having Wuhan pneumonia are instructed to report to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency call center or the Jangseong-gun Public Health Center.
