The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Heavy rain is expected in Gangwon Yeongdong, the Gyeongsang coast, and Jeju Island until the 28th, so caution is needed for flooding and retaining wall collapses," and added, "Since heavy snow will accumulate in the Gangwon mountain area, special attention should be paid to safety accidents such as greenhouse collapses and traffic safety."
Expected precipitation amounts are 50?100 mm for Jeju Island, 30?80 mm for Gangwon Yeongdong and the Gyeongsang coast, 20?60 mm for inland Gyeongsang and Jeonnam, and 5?30 mm for central regions and Jeonbuk.
Snow will fall in the Gangwon mountain area, northeastern mountain area of Gyeongbuk, and Gangwon Yeongseo. Expected snowfall amounts are 5?30 cm in the Gangwon mountain area, 1?5 cm in the northeastern mountain area of Gyeongbuk, and around 1 cm in Gangwon Yeongseo.
In areas with rain or snow, visibility will be low and roads may be slippery due to rainwater or ice, so traffic safety should be carefully observed.
The morning low temperatures will range from 1 to 9 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high temperatures will be between 5 and 11 degrees Celsius, higher than the average (-12 to -1 degrees Celsius for lows, 1 to 8 degrees Celsius for highs).
Air dispersion will be smooth and with rain, fine dust concentrations will be at a 'good' level nationwide.
Until the day after tomorrow, strong winds will blow along the East Coast, South Coast, and Jeju Island. Thunder and lightning are expected in Jeju Island, all waters around Jeju, and the South Sea, so caution is required for facility management, safety accidents, and maritime safety accidents.
