Two Thai Men in Their 30s and One Woman Presumed Dead
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] A fire broke out at a foreign worker dormitory in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, resulting in the deaths of three people.
According to the fire authorities on the 25th, a fire occurred at around 3 p.m. at a foreign worker dormitory located in Hyeonsan-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, where three unidentified Thai workers died. All the deceased were in their mid-30s, consisting of two men and one woman.
Two people were found dead in the bathroom and one in the living room due to the fire. To extinguish the fire, 10 fire trucks and 25 119 rescue personnel were deployed, and the flames were brought under control after burning the interior of the dormitory.

The site of the fire was a foreign worker dormitory operated by a nearby Kim factory, and the deceased workers had been staying there since the afternoon of the 21st. The police are focusing on the possibility of arson and are investigating the circumstances of the fire, including identifying the victims.
