The 'Jupjup' Craze for Non-Regulated Area Apartments Sweeping Since Early Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Since the beginning of the year, a so-called "Jupjup (picking up and picking up)" frenzy for non-priority subscription in non-regulated areas has been intensifying. Non-priority subscription is a system that resupplies uncontracted units after the main subscription. Anyone aged 19 or older can apply without a subscription savings account.
Recently, there has been a strong enthusiasm in the real estate market to win non-priority subscriptions. Along with genuine buyers who want to move into new apartments, speculators seeking short-term capital gains due to short resale restrictions have joined, pushing subscription competition rates close to five digits.
According to the industry on the 25th, a total of 41,922 people applied for the non-priority subscription of "Hillstate Prugio Juan" in Michuhol-gu, Incheon, held on the 22nd, recording an average competition rate of 1,352 to 1. The highest competition rate was for the 84㎡B exclusive housing type. For this type, 32,415 people applied for 5 units, resulting in a competition rate of 6,483 to 1. Additionally, 2,004 and 7,503 people applied for the 39㎡ (13 units) and 45㎡ (13 units) types, showing competition rates of 154 to 1 and 577 to 1, respectively.
Earlier, in the non-priority subscription for uncontracted units of "Bupyeong Doosan We've The Park" in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, held on the 15th, 47,626 people applied for 4 units, recording a competition rate of 11,907 to 1. For the 59㎡B type, which had only one unit supplied, a total of 30,066 people applied, resulting in a competition rate of 30,066 to 1. The non-priority subscription for "Artejai" in Manan-gu, Anyang-si, held over four days from the 10th to the 13th, also recorded a competition rate of 4,191 to 1, completing contracts for all units.
