Renovation of Hangang Rest Area in Front of Gwangjin Information Library
Gwangjin-gu Received Seoul City Special Grant Budget Last Year to Renovate Aging Facilities at Hangang Rest Area in Front of Gwangjin Information Library
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has refurbished the aging facilities such as the deck, railings, and rest areas at the Hangang Rest Area located in front of Gwangjin Information Library in Gwangjang-dong, and began operations this month.
In front of Gwangjin Information Library, benches, tables, and shade structures have been installed to create a rest area where citizens can relax while enjoying views of the Hangang River.
The existing Hangang Rest Area at Gwangjin Information Library had become outdated after more than 10 years since installation, raising concerns about user safety accidents due to facility deterioration, making maintenance urgent.
Accordingly, the district received special grants from Seoul City last year and carried out the ‘Gwangjin Information Library Surrounding Old Deck Maintenance Project’ from September to December to refurbish the aging Hangang Rest Area.
The refurbished Hangang Rest Area at Gwangjin Information Library is available for use by any citizens visiting the library and the nearby Hangang riverside park.
