The Democratic Party recruited Lee So-hyun, the protagonist of the 'Taeho-Yuchan Act,' while the Liberty Korea Party recruited Heo Eun-ah, director of the Korea Image Strategy Institute and an expert in brand image. These recruitments focus respectively on child safety and improving the image of the Liberty Korea Party.
On the same day, the Democratic Party announced that as its twelfth recruit, it had brought in Ms. Lee, the mother of Kim Tae-ho, the protagonist of the 'Taeho-Yuchan Act.' Ms. Lee lost her son Kim in a traffic accident in May 2019. Afterwards, she raised social awareness by submitting a petition to the Blue House titled "The child who was sent off in a vehicle saying he was going to play soccer does not return." She also led the proposal of the "Partial Amendment to the Road Traffic Act and the Physical Education Facilities Act" (commonly known as the Taeho-Yuchan Act), which includes all vehicles carrying children to school in the reporting system for children's school buses to strengthen management. The bill is still pending in the National Assembly.
At the talent recruitment press conference held at the National Assembly that morning, Ms. Lee expressed her aspirations upon joining the party, saying, "I do not want to create a world where we regret not being able to protect anymore." She added, "Now, I am going to become stronger. From today, my tasks have become clearer. I will protect all our children so that they can grow up safely and securely."
It is known that Ms. Lee had declined the recruitment offer several times. She said, "When I first received the recruitment offer, I rejected it, thinking it was absurd. Honestly, I did not even want to look toward Yeouido." However, she opened her heart after repeated persuasion that "the person who has suffered the most will desperately cling and achieve results."

Director Heo stated, "I decided that if there is a role for me in a party that has reflected on the past and is starting anew to show political change for the people, I must step forward and lend my strength." She added, "As an image strategy expert, I will play the role of coordinator in the innovative transformation and change of the Liberty Korea Party into a political force that listens to, empathizes with, and communicates with the people at their level."
