[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yoo Dong-gyun) is recruiting 'Mapo-gu Cultural Tourism Guides' and 'Mapo Village Travel Promotion Managers' from January 29 to February 4 to develop and revitalize tourism courses that reflect the unique characteristics of the Mapo area.
The recruitment includes 3 'Mapo-gu Cultural Tourism Guides' and 1 'Mapo Village Travel Promotion Manager,' totaling 4 positions. The 'Mapo-gu Cultural Tourism Guides' will directly develop Mapo village travel courses and work as guides for domestic and international tourists. The 'Mapo Village Travel Promotion Manager' will create promotional materials related to Mapo village travel and promote them through SNS channels such as Instagram.
The work period is a total of 9 months from March to November, with working hours of 8 hours per day (9 AM to 6 PM), 5 days a week. The hourly wage is 10,520 KRW based on the living wage, with weekly and annual leave allowances provided, and mandatory enrollment in the four major social insurances.
Applicants must be Seoul citizens aged 18 or older as of the recruitment announcement date (January 20). However, exclusions apply to ▲those currently employed as of the announcement date ▲those who have participated in the Seoul-type New Deal Job project for more than 23 months in total ▲those currently enrolled or on leave from university or graduate school ▲foreigners not registered as residents in Seoul.
Those wishing to apply can submit their applications online at the Seoul Job Portal (http://job.seoul.go.kr) from January 29 to February 4. The hiring process includes a first document screening (February 10?14) and a second interview test (February 19), with final results individually notified to successful candidates on February 24.
The district is promoting various projects and strategic marketing efforts, such as developing hidden tourist attractions and operating the Mapo Tour Bus that tours major local tourist resources, to become an attractive representative tourist city of Seoul. As a result, it recently attracted 4,600 visitors from an Indonesian MICE group.
