청 "Yoon Seok-yeol Prosecutor General Unrelated to Martial Law Document Investigation"
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The Blue House has expressed a position that it is difficult to initiate an investigation regarding the national petition urging an investigation into Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol in connection with the non-prosecution disposition of the 'martial law document' investigation.
Kang Jung-soo, head of the Blue House Digital Communication Center, responded on the Blue House SNS on the 22nd regarding the petition, stating, "Based on the circumstances revealed so far, it is difficult to see any clues or evidence to initiate an investigation into the then Seoul Central District Prosecutor General."
Kang explained, "There was a misunderstanding due to the non-prosecution disposition notice issued in the name of the then Seoul Central District Prosecutor General, but the Seoul Central District Prosecutor General was not involved in the entire case."
He added, "Prosecutors belonging to the Joint Investigation Team, who were not part of the formal organization, could not register and handle the case in the name of the investigation team," "The prosecutors of the Joint Investigation Team were assigned as acting prosecutors of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and handled the case in the name of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, but the investigation was conducted independently."
On October 24 last year, a petition was posted on the Blue House national petition page claiming that Prosecutor General Yoon was deliberately not showing enthusiasm in the investigation of the martial law document.
The petitioner at the time argued, "Although the investigation into the martial law document, which threatened the safety of the people, was not properly conducted, the then Seoul Central District Prosecutor General consistently excused himself by saying he was not responsible because he did not receive investigation reports, so we urge an investigation."

The investigation into the Defense Security Command's martial law document began in July 2018 when a civic group filed a complaint accusing former President Park Geun-hye and others of charges including conspiracy to commit rebellion. The main content was that the Defense Security Command agents prepared an illegal martial law plan document to forcibly suppress the candlelight rallies demanding former President Park's resignation.
