Naju-si to Recruit 'Welfare Center Lifelong Education Students' Until the 31st
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Han-hyeok] The Jungbu Senior Welfare Center in Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Kang In-gyu) announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting "first half lifelong education program students" for healthy leisure activities and self-development in the era of 100 years old until the 31st.
The first half lifelong education includes a total of 31 classes in 20 fields such as ▲ liberal arts education (Korean literature, English conversation) ▲ health promotion (line dance, laughter gymnastics, etc. 8 classes) ▲ hobby leisure (Oriental painting, singing class, etc. 8 classes) ▲ informatization (smartphone, computer use), recruiting a total of 615 students on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eligibility and application method: Any citizen aged 60 or older can apply for up to 3 subjects per person, and can visit the welfare center's 3rd floor office to register.
Mayor Kang In-gyu said, "I hope that taking lifelong education classes at the welfare center will greatly help increase learning opportunities for local seniors in the era of 100 years old and improve satisfaction in old age through self-development," and added, "We will improve the quality of lifelong education by understanding students' needs and satisfaction, as well as discover and promote various programs."
