Daejeon City Secures 2.5 Billion Won Budget for Public Work Projects This Year... Creating 440 Jobs
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 22nd that it has secured a budget of 2.529 billion KRW for this year's public work project.
The budget will be used for projects reflecting the regional demands of three business offices, including the Park Management and River Management Office and Hanbat Arboretum, as well as five autonomous districts, creating approximately 440 jobs.
Eligibility for application is granted to workers aged 18 or older residing in the area, whose household income is 65% or less of the median income standard and whose assets are 200 million KRW or less.
Public work project workers will receive a daily wage of 68,720 KRW based on the minimum wage (8,590 KRW) for an 8-hour workday. Working hours may be adjusted depending on the workplace conditions and the age of participants.
The public work project period is from March to October. However, the project period and application submission period vary by each business office, so applicants must check the submission period of each office in advance.
