A key official of the Liberty Korea Party stated on the 20th, "This recruitment is in the field of security experts," and added, "We plan to announce it tomorrow (21st)."
Born in Daejeon, Director Shin began his career as a researcher at the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA) in 1995, embarking on the path of a diplomatic and security expert. From 2009 to 2010, during the Lee Myung-bak administration, he served as policy advisor to Defense Minister Kim Tae-young. Between 2013 and 2016, he held positions such as Policy Planning Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and professor at the Korea National Diplomatic Academy. He has also served as an advisory member to the Blue House and the National Assembly.
Director Shin shares the Liberty Korea Party's security perspective, having voiced critical opinions on the current government's security policies, including North Korea issues. In a column for a media outlet, he criticized, "There are no principles visible in our government's diplomacy right now. Especially regarding North Korea, the government's principles have changed too easily."

He has also expressed the view that denuclearization negotiation strategies should involve pressuring North Korea through strengthened sanctions. On a discussion program, he stated, "To change North Korea, we need to cooperate with the U.S. and China," adding, "If we gradually reduce various economic benefits to pressure North Korea, military tensions will escalate, but we will not be shaken by threats."
