[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangdong-gu (District Mayor Lee Jeong-hoon) will hold the "Seollal Traditional Play Festival" at the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Site in Seoul from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 25th and 26th to celebrate Seollal, the biggest traditional Korean holiday.

At the Traditional Play Festival, visitors can experience various traditional games and prehistoric activities. Traditional game experiences will be offered free of charge at the plaza in front of the Amsa-dong Prehistoric Site Museum, where participants can enjoy activities such as rolling hoops, Yutnori, Tuho throwing, spinning tops, and Jegichagi.

Additionally, prehistoric experience programs will be held at the Prehistoric Experience Classroom for a fee of 4,000 KRW, featuring activities like making comb-pattern pottery, building pit houses, and assembling pottery shards.

Admission to the Amsa-dong site will be free during the two days of the event.

It is also recommended to take advantage of the informative cultural heritage interpretation programs during the Seollal holiday. Visitors can tour the Amsa-dong site, museum, and experience villages with professional guides to learn about Neolithic culture and appreciate the value and significance of the Amsa-dong site. The cultural heritage interpretation programs will also be available on the 24th, 26th, and 27th of the Seollal holiday period (closed on the 25th, Seollal day), and reservations can be made one day in advance through the website.
