Ahn Cheol-soo to Return on the 19th... Will Be a Great Support for Centrist Reform Forces
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Sohn Hak-kyu, leader of the Bareunmirae Party, stated on the 17th that “Former Bareunmirae Party lawmaker Ahn Cheol-soo is said to be returning to Korea on the 19th,” and added, “With less than 90 days remaining until the general election, I believe he will be a great asset to the centrist reform forces.”
At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Sohn said, “I hope that as soon as former lawmaker Ahn returns, we can openly discuss the unification of the centrist reform forces and the Bareunmirae Party’s victory in the general election.”
Sohn also expressed full agreement with Ahn’s statement about eradicating the virus of old politics through a comprehensive generational change in politics, saying, “As I mentioned at the previous press conference, generational change and structural reform in politics are the era’s demands for this general election.”
