Drama 'Seolgukyeolcha' to Premiere in the US in May
A TV drama reimagining director Bong Joon-ho's film Snowpiercer will premiere in the United States this May. According to local entertainment media such as Deadline on the 15th (local time), TNT, a WarnerMedia cable channel, will broadcast the drama Snowpiercer starting May 31. Deadline described it as “based on director Bong Joon-ho’s 2013 film, who is currently thriving with the movie Parasite,” and called it “very timely.”
The project was planned in 2016 but faced difficulties after Josh Friedman, who was both writer and producer, left. Gram Manson, the director, said, “I am a fan of director Bong Joon-ho. It took a long time to fully understand the content.” Lead actor Daveed Diggs said, “It takes a long time to complete a good work. Five years is not that long.”
