'Arrest Warrant for Manager Kim on Charges of Exploitation and Fraud Against Violinist Yujin Park'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] The prosecution has requested an arrest warrant for manager Kim Mo (60), who is suspected of exploiting electronic violinist Yoo Jin-bak (45) and embezzling his appearance fees.
According to the police on the 16th, the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul recently applied for an arrest warrant for Yoo Jin-bak's current manager Kim Mo (60) on charges of fraud, breach of trust in the course of business, and embezzlement. The prosecution submitted the arrest warrant requested by the police to the court. Kim underwent a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) at the Seoul Southern District Court on the same day.
The Seoul Disabled Human Rights Center filed a complaint against Kim with the prosecution in May of last year. Since then, under the prosecution's investigation directive, the Gangseo Police Station has been investigating the case.
In the complaint, the center claimed that manager Kim secretly borrowed about 108 million won in private loans under Yoo Jin-bak's name and embezzled 506 million won in appearance fees. The center also stated that there are allegations that Kim caused losses by selling Yoo Jin-bak's real estate at a low price.

Yoo Jin-bak graduated from the Juilliard School in the United States and gained fame as a "genius violinist" in the 1990s after debuting in Korea. However, his physical and mental health deteriorated due to depression and bipolar disorder, and rumors spread that some industry insiders took advantage of this to assault, confine, and exploit him, causing controversy. Kim is known to have helped Yoo Jin-bak during his prime in the 1990s and reunited with him to work together after Yoo faced difficulties.
