Daelim Industrial filed the patent application for this technology in August 2018 and obtained the patent right (Patent No.: 10-2011989) after its technological value was recognized. This is the first case in Korea where a patent right was granted for a variable wall-type structure in multi-family housing.
C2 HOUSE is a lifestyle-customized housing platform introduced by Daelim Industrial in April last year. Through various big data analyses and surveys, it identifies consumers' living behaviors and differentiates everything from design to structure and interior style. In particular, by minimizing load-bearing walls, it allows for various floor plan configurations tailored to individual preferences and personalities.
In conventional wall-type structure apartments, all walls separating bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, etc., are constructed as load-bearing walls. Load-bearing walls support the load, so they cannot be arbitrarily demolished or moved. Because of this, it is difficult to change the existing floor plan or remodel, making it unsuitable for long-life housing. Additionally, the structural work costs are higher compared to column-type structures.
C2 HOUSE secures floor plan variability by minimizing the load-bearing walls to three. The three load-bearing walls are arranged in a T-shape to separate the master bedroom, living room, and kitchen, allowing the remaining space, except for the master bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, to be freely configured. Depending on an individual's lifestyle or family composition, the space can be designed as an open studio-type area or divided into various functional spaces, enabling flexible spatial expression.
