LG Chem announced on the 16th that, together with Kia Hope and Dong-A Science, it will hold the "Chemistry Camp for Growing Young Dreams" four times from the 15th of this month to the 12th of next month, inviting about 200 middle school students near major business sites such as Daejeon, Yeosu, Daesan, and Seoul.
This camp is a social contribution activity for youth that has been held 60 times from 2005 to last year, providing various career exploration opportunities to help young people develop future talent capabilities, with over 7,200 students participating.
The first camp of the new year will be held for about 50 middle school students near LG Chem's Daejeon Technology Research Institute and Ochang Plant, inviting them to the Raon Convention Hotel in Daejeon for a 2-night, 3-day program.
Various programs have been prepared to provide practical motivation for students' career exploration, including the "Future Talent Development Project," where students become entrepreneurs and commercialize ideas as teams; "Tomorrow Imagination Campus," where they experience promising future science and technology such as building electric vehicles and drone racing and explore related careers; and "DREAM TALK," a career coaching program by university student mentors.
Additionally, programs such as "JOB Canvas," which involves learning about Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and envisioning new jobs, and "Science and Ethics through Movies," which studies the dual aspects of science and technology, will be conducted.
