[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Mapo-gu (Mayor Yudonggyun) has installed 44 safety emergency bells and completely replaced outdated CCTV equipment at six unmanned public parking lots in the area (Gongdeok 1-1, Gongdeok 1-2, Hanseo, Mangwon 1-1, Mangwon 2-1, Seongsan 2-1) to create a safer parking environment.
This safety equipment reinforcement was promoted to prevent crimes in advance and enable residents to use public parking lots with peace of mind by installing emergency bells linked with the police and the latest CCTV in unmanned public parking lots where quick response to crimes or emergencies is difficult.
When the safety emergency bell is pressed, the location information of the reporter is immediately sent to the Mapo Police Station, and the call is automatically connected to the 112 comprehensive situation room, enabling two-way communication with the police through the microphone and speaker built into the emergency bell. At the same time, the internal warning lights and alarms in the parking lot operate to quickly alert the surroundings of the crisis situation.
The district installed two safety emergency bells on each floor of the parking lots. In particular, the emergency bells were designed to be highly visible, and LED lights were additionally installed to ensure visibility even at night.
In addition, 71 outdated CCTV cameras installed in the public parking lots were replaced with high-definition cameras. The existing cameras were 400,000-pixel cameras with poor image quality, making it difficult to identify people and vehicle numbers, and the recording devices were also outdated, causing many difficulties in administrative work.
The replaced cameras are 2 million-pixel high-definition cameras, which are expected to greatly resolve these inconveniences.
